![]() The older vampire is competent and responsible when it comes to his work (including his task of being En's guardian) but Ichii has been around a long time and is not shy about what he wants - and what he wants is En. And the two have some interesting chemistry both romantically and as a world-weary mentor who contrasts En's inexperience. Clueless of the rules, the culture, and of what all being a vampire entails, right now En is entirely dependant on the deuteragonist, Ichii, to show him the way. As a human, he was a homeless teenager in the process of figuring himself and his life out, and now as a vampire he must do the same on top of adjusting to the loss of his humanity and trying to navigate the vampire world. ![]() Our somewhat innocent protagonist, En, is new to the vampire gig. I found the main couple to be particularly sweet and I especially enjoyed the wide range of different vampires the readers meet. I may be biased considering I love both vampires and boys-love stories, and I'll admit the idea of a supernatural welfare organization is hardly a new concept in manga, but "Fangs" was a delight to read. ![]() I really enjoyed the first volume of this vampire BL. ![]()
